The role
As part of our Business Services Group, the Applications Team Leader is responsible for the management and leadership of a small team of IT professionals and is supervised and directed by the Head of Information Technology.
Applications Team Leader will be a hands-on leadership role that plans, tasks and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Applications team who are instrumental in supporting, configuring and customising Saab’s business applications, tools and information systems to meet business needs across all of Saab’s environments.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Liaise with ICT and Business to coordinate the design, setup, configuration and support of applications, systems and other technologies that support Saab’s business needs;
- Work, communicate and cross-skill with other members of the Applications team, and where appropriate with the greater ICT group;
- Coordinate, supervise and support the Applications team in all aspects of the team’s day-to-day duties;
- Oversee the planning, scheduling and prioritisation of tasks ensuring the Applications team meet committed deadlines;
- Facilitate the development of others’ knowledge and skills; providing timely feedback and guidance to help them reach goals;
- Undertake, for the ICT Applications team, performance planning, monitoring and reviews as per company policy
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- 7+ years working directly with or within an ICT team environment;
- Proven Supervisory and/or Team Leadership experience;
- Demonstrated high level of organisational skills including the capacity to set priorities for self and/or others and work to deadlines;
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and team well-being;
- Demonstrated experience supporting and configuring commercial software products, such as ERP’s, Financial Systems, HR Systems, and Engineering toolset;
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, currently hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
